Depending on family size and household income, children are eligible for free, low-cost, or full-cost CHIP insurance through Keystone Health Plan East (KHPE) HMO. As an administrator of CHIP, Independence Blue Cross provides health insurance benefits from KHPE HMO for enrolled children.
Household gross income is then compared to the limits shown below based on household size for the applicable program. A 5% disregard based on the federal poverty level (FPL) is applied, if needed, and is reflected in the amounts shown below.
